These angel pins were designed to honor a mother and two sisters from a woman named Mary. She wrote:  I would like to have a special one created for my mother, and two sisters.

Mother lost her husband, my step-father, last year on November 5, 2004 after 36 years of marriage to lung cancer.  They found out he had it on her birthday August 4, 2004.  As you can see three months and 1 day he was gone.  Six days after they found out he had cancer, I received a phone call from my sister that she had Mom in the emergency room.  Well, she was diagnosed with Endimetrial Cancer.  During the time of waiting on my Step-father, she needed surgery so her three girls pitched in and took care of her and my step-father.  Mom and Sam had one daughter together who is my little sister.  My sister was 5 months pregnant when all this came about.  It's been a year and we have survived by embracing the joy in our lives instead of the sorrow. 

My baby sister has a beautiful baby boy who is the spitting image of my step-father Sam.  He gives the same serious looks that Sam gave and is quiet and laid back with those beautiful piercing blues eyes.  My mother is cancer free at this time so we are rejoicing her recovery.  The most beautiful part of it all is that my older sister and my mother had not been talking for about a year before this sickness of my step-father and mother came.  When I told her that mother was asking for her the first time she was put in the hospital, I begged her to put their differences aside and please come see her.  After a few hours of deliberation in my sisters mind, she came to the hospital.  At that time it was for me and my baby sister.  But after she realized that mother could have left this earth, she has come to terms with the differences and has been a great support to our family.  Mother, she and I even went on vacation together to Tahoe Nevada.  It was great.  My baby sister could not go because of her 4 yr. old and new born.  My prayers of our family coming together and enjoying each other again was answered.

The most joy my mother has is her precious yorkie dog, her grandchildren (5), playing the blazing seven slots (777) at the boats LA and she loves to go to Vegas.  The other joy that should be remembered is the cruises she and my step-dad went on.  Mom and Sam's song was "I walk across Texas with You".  Could you please design an angel pin that could reflect her favorite things?

For my baby sister, I would love a pin to reflect her two babies, my mom and step-father with a cowboy theme.  You see my step-father was a true cowboy who was raised in Deer Park, TX as the first families of Deer Park.  My mom was originally from Tennessee as was my older sister and myself.

For my older sister, I would love a pin to reflect our background of the Tennessee hills, Texas roots and her favorite gambling game of black-jack.  She loves music and especially loves to do the Texas Two-Step.

I designed these angel pins to detail the requests honoring each individual. In the golden heart of mother, I placed the 5 different birthstones of her grandchildren. On the baby sister design I placed the two birthstones of her two babies in the double heart at the chest.
